Citizen Potawatomi Nation spent the holiday season helping others in times of need. CPN’s commitment of giving back to local communities was recognized recently at the annual Beacon Awards hosted by the Journal Record, where CPN was acknowledged as one of the most charitable organizations in Oklahoma.
Here are just a few ways CPN spread some joy this holiday season:
- Raised $1,300 to assist a tribal family with major medical expenses
- Donated 2,768 pounds of food for Thanksgiving and 3,000 pounds of food for Christmas
- Supplied 400 turkeys and 500 hams for Shawnee Rescue Mission’s Thanksgiving event
