Access to water is critical when it comes to fighting fires to save lives and property. In rural areas, firefighters often have to rely on water supply tankers to transport water.
Dolese Bros Co., a construction materials business based in Oklahoma City, recently donated one of its mixer trucks to the Granite Volunteer Fire Department. The 2013 Peterbilt truck will be converted into a 5,000-gallon water tanker, doubling the department’s tanker capacity.
Dolese’s Vice President of Communications and Community Relations Kermit Frank said, “Through our equipment donations, local fire departments can protect their community’s homes, businesses and residents more efficiently.”
