The International Canoe Federation recently announced that the 2022 Canoe Sprint Super Cup and the 2022 ICF Stand Up Paddling World Cup will be relocated from Russia to Oklahoma City in August.
The 2021 ICF Canoe Sprint Cup took place in Oklahoma City, and we are excited to welcome the world-class canoe racers back to our city.
According to RIVERSPORT Executive Director Mike Knopp, the Oklahoma River is the only sanctioned racecourse in the world to have permanent lighting for night racing, which makes for a unique racing experience and adds another level of excitement to an already adrenaline-fueled event.
