This Saturday, Feb. 1, marks National Unclaimed Property Day, a reminder for Oklahomans to check for lost assets. With more than $1 billion in unclaimed property held by the state, there is a strong chance that you or someone you know could have forgotten funds or valuables.
“These assets tell a story – from uncashed paychecks or even family heirlooms,” said Treasurer Todd Russ. Checking is quick, free and could uncover meaningful discoveries.
Visit YourMoney.ok.gov to search for your name or family members. Reclaiming unclaimed property benefits individuals and boosts the state’s economy, making this a win-win for all Oklahomans.
