Oklahoma Bicycle Society celebrates 50 years

by The 100 Companies

In 1974, a group of bicyclists founded Oklahoma’s first bicycle club. The Oklahoma Bicycle Society’s (OBS) vision is to promote fun and safe cycling in Oklahoma. OBS leads weekly rides for a wide range of riders, from beginners to advanced, with various distances and speed.

One of the group’s family-friendly rides is the annual Streak Ride that begins in Edmond and raises money to provide helmets for kids through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Spring is a great time to get those legs moving while learning bicycle safety tips.

Visit okcbike.org for a full calendar of upcoming rides.
