by The 100 Companies

In celebration of KOCO’s 70th anniversary, the ABC affiliate TV station announced its inaugural Hall of Fame wall.

Five long-time TV legends were inducted: Ida B. Blackburn who entertained kids with her own children’s show; Ed “Ho Ho” Birchall, who portrayed a clown and visited hundreds of kids’ birthday parties along with Bill “Pokey” Howard, a puppeteer; Joyce Jackson, who was Oklahoma’s first Black woman journalist; and Mick Cornett, a popular 20-year sportscaster, sports director and news anchor. General Manager Brent Hensley said, “their sacrifices and hard work helped build this great station and the legacy of service.”

Congrats Mick!
