Put on your boots and cowboy hat and head to Guthrie for the official ’89ers Celebration. Four days of festivities launch on Tuesday, April 16 with the Chuckwagon feed and silent auction, and continue through April 20 when the largest and oldest continually run parade in Oklahoma begins at noon.
Enjoy family-friendly events like barrel racing during two nights of rodeo, the “Geezer’s Gassers and Hawgs” car show, one-of-a-kind The Great Bed Race, the beard and mustache competition and fan-favorite Old Timers baseball game.
The event celebrates the state’s historic boom with a cannon shot at noon commemorating April 22, 1889.
