ACCESS Oklahoma projects begin

by The 100 Companies

Under the ACCESS Oklahoma 15-year long-range plan, the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority is rolling out significant upgrades on the I-44/Turner Turnpike.

A $98 million project near Bristow is widening the turnpike to six lanes from SH-66 at Heyburn to just east of Bristow, and includes construction of a new interchange to improve both access and emergency response times. Additionally, a $48 million bridge reconstruction project in Wellston extends these six-lane improvements towards Tulsa.

The initiatives are aimed at enhancing traffic flow and fostering economic growth, and are integral parts of upgrading this critical transportation corridor. They are slated for completion by 2026.
