ODMHSAS spotlights minority mental health for awareness month

by The 100 Companies

Did you know that in 2022, more than 20% of deaths by suicide occurred in American Indian, Black and Hispanic communities?

July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month and is dedicated to promoting available resources for mental health in minority communities and encouraging individuals to seek support and treatment.

This month, the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) will join with minority community leaders to promote the 988 Oklahoma Mental Health Lifeline, a free and confidential service that provides immediate support for those experiencing a mental health need.

Call or text 988 for mental health support.
