Queen of Rockabilly to be inducted

by The 100 Companies

Known as the Queen of Rockabilly, Wanda Jackson will be inducted into the Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame by the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women April 29, to be held at Omni OKC.

Among the first women in Rock ‘n Roll, she also is among the first female performers in Country Music, which earned her the nickname. Jackson began her music career on a radio station in Oklahoma City before touring with Elvis Presley.

She will be joined by seven very accomplished Oklahoma women as the 2022 inductees. For more information about  tickets and sponsorships, visit ok.gov/ocsw.
