Skyline Bricktown, owned by Nathaniel Harding and Kevin Dunnington, hosts artist-in-residence Morgan Robinson. The local artist, born and raised in Oklahoma, draws inspiration from organic forms of life.

The residency program allows Robinson to step out of his comfort zone and draw inspiration for his artwork with a fully functional studio space provided by Skyline.

“Changing my scenery reminds me of why I do what I do,” Robinson said. “If you sat at a desk all day, you remain limited, when you move from your desk, it’s easier to think creatively.”

The Sam Noble Museum will feature a brand-new exhibit called “Fluent Generations: The Art of Anita, Tom & Yatika Fields” from Jan. 20 – May 6.

Members of the Fields family are accomplished native artists that celebrate the vitality of indigenous cultures through photography, ceramics and painting. This is the first time the whole family has shared their artwork under the same roof in an exhibit.

“Fluent Generations” will feature a number of never-before-seen pieces of artwork, loans from the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art and the Arkansas Heritage Museum, along with pieces from the artists’ own collections.
