As of Nov. 16, Oklahoma has been a state for 115 years. It became the 46th state when President Roosevelt signed legislation in 1907.

Do you know what the last four states to be admitted were and when they were admitted to give us an even 50?

In January 6, 1912, New Mexico became the 47th state, closely followed by Arizona when it became the 48th state on Feb. 14, 1912.

The United States had 48 states for 47 years until 1959 when two states were admitted. Alaska joined our country on Jan. 3, 1959, and Hawaii became a state on Aug. 21.
