Brewery mural welcomes conversations about mental health

You can sit on my couch

by The 100 Companies

Artist Virginia Sitzes chose a couch to be the focal point of her mural for 988 Oklahoma, as couches represent comfort, rest, belonging and home.

The piece, located at Equity Brewing Co. in Norman, creates a space that feels inviting for anyone to gather around – symbolizing how 988 is there for anyone who needs it. Visitors are encouraged to stop by to view the mural and enjoy a drink or treat at the brewery.

988 believes that partnerships with community organizations and leaders will help continue to shift from stigma and open the doors to more conversations about mental health.
