Midwest City natives serve in the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group

Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Sidney Bray serves aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98), a part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group. A native of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Bray trains, directs and supervises personnel in the ship’s maintenance duties in all activities relating to upkeep of the ship.

Fellow Midwest City native and Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Cory Motley serves aboard the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier itself. Motley is responsible for maintaining the Harry S. Truman’s aircraft, including the F/A-18E Super Hornets assigned to the “Knighthawks” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 136, among others.
