Commission focusing on human trafficking

by The 100 Companies

A growing issue is human trafficking. This year, the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women is focusing on this issue, particularly at the educational level.

Since 2012, the Commission has been raising awareness on human trafficking that began with hosting a legislative interim study followed by a Summit in 2014, a statewide virtual Community Conversation in 2020 and a second summit in 2022 hosted by First Lady Sarah Stitt at the Governor’s Pavilion.

Now the Commission plans to go to the schools. If your school is interested, please contact the Commission at ocswadmin@omes.ok.gov for more information.
