Construction will begin next month on a new $30 million concourse at Tulsa International Airport. The new concourse will be used to accommodate screening for international arrivals and could lead to more direct international flights. Most international travel now comes from Cancun and Los Cabos in Mexico.
In other news, Delta Air Lines just announced a new daily nonstop flight from TUL to LaGuardia Airport in New York City starting May 7, 2024.
TUL serves around 3 million passengers a year with about 80 flights a day on seven airlines. Approximately one-third of the arriving flights come from Denver or Dallas.
