Oklahoma ranks No. 5 on roads, bridges

by The 100 Companies

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced state bridge improvements led to No. 5 in the national ranking for good bridge conditions. This 2021 ranking is two steps above the No. 7 position in 2020, moving ahead of Texas.

After two decades of work to improve highway infrastructure, fewer than one percent of highway bridges are structurally deficient. This great success and improvement now positions Oklahoma among the nation’s best for current bridge conditions.

Highway bridge advancements are only the beginning of enhancing our future state infrastructure. Congratulations to ODOT for hard work in making Oklahoma road and bridges safe.
