In 2026, Route 66 will turn 100 years old and the celebration starts early with the Route 66 Road Fest in Tulsa from June 23-25. The event at Expo Square will have live entertainment, food, a large classic car show and more than 100 vendors.
Activities will include a virtual reality area, interactive art, miniature golf and a Pinewood Derby.
An historical exhibit, “The Journey,” traces the history of the road from the 1920s to today and includes interactive exhibits and fun displays like a 1920s gas station, 1930s gangster lockup, World War II-era diner and classic drive-in movie theater.
