10-pound cabbage earns "Best in State" title

by The 100 Companies

Bonnie Plants has awarded Kynlei Dill of McCurtain Public Schools a $1,000 scholarship as well as “Best in State” bragging rights for growing a nearly 10-pound cabbage.

Each year, the 3rd Grade Cabbage Program sends a starter O.S. Cross variety cabbage plant for students to care for to participating students across the country.

Kynlei was selected as “Best in State” by Bonnie Plants in collaboration with the Oklahoman Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry based on her enthusiasm to participate and learn in addition to the size and overall appearance of her cabbage.
