Women are making their voices heard at the Oklahoma State Capitol.
The Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women strengthens and empowers women by educating the legislative and executive branches on issues to improve the quality of life for women. The state-run commission hosts Community Conversations, a statewide initiative providing women opportunities to discuss issues affecting their communities. Topics include domestic violence, human trafficking, mental health and substance abuse.
It has hosted daylong summits that brought together government, business and community leaders with experts on diabetes and incarceration to address the impact on families. To learn more, visit OCSW.
