In October 2020, Oklahoma City professional boxer Alex Saucedo competed in Las Vegas for the World Boxing Organization World Title. However, he ended up in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury from the opening seconds of the 10-round fight.
Saucedo’s pro career ended with a 30-2 record, including 19 knockouts. Premiering on Netflix this week is the documentary “Saucedo,” which focuses on redefining his identity and finding his new purpose after the unexpected end of his boxing career.
Filmed in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, many Oklahomans contributed and collaborated in front and behind the camera. Be sure to watch!
