Giving Tuesday has become a top fundraising day.
Recently, corporations have sought ways to join the Giving Tuesday movement. Facebook noticed the trend and knew the platform needed to adapt to help more nonprofits benefit from the corporations looking for local and smaller organizations that could benefit from an end of the year gift.
From Facebook users to business pages, all have the ability to select a nonprofit and set up a fundraiser on their own. Nonprofits are also now able to collect donations directly from Facebook. We no longer live in a society that requires a checkbook to donate.
