Salute to transportation pioneer Neal McCaleb

by The 100 Companies

Neal McCaleb was a venerable figure in Oklahoma who rehabilitated and modernized the state’s transportation network to promote public safety.

He oversaw the expansive growth of Oklahoma’s transportation infrastructure throughout much of our state’s history. A prominent member of the Chickasaw Nation, McCaleb served as Oklahoma’s first secretary of transportation and director of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation under Gov. Henry Bellmon and served in those roles again under Gov. Frank Keating. In 2016, he headed back to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority as its interim executive director during a crucial period.

Thank you, Neal, for all you did for Oklahoma!
