Earlier this month, Governor Kevin Stitt promoted Air Force Col. Brent Wright to the rank of brigadier general. Wright’s last assignment was as the vice wing commander, 138th Fighter Wing, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Brig. Gen. Wright serves as assistant adjutant general for the Oklahoma Air National Guard. He is the principal advisor to the adjutant general for Oklahoma Air National Guard matters. Wright is responsible for the combat readiness and operational effectiveness of Oklahoma Air National Guard units.
Wright’s overseas deployment experience includes support of operations Coronet Oak, Joint Forge, Northern Watch, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
