After a contentious primary season here in Oklahoma, we now know who many of the general election candidates will be for local, state and national offices in November. There are, however, a number of high-profile races that will be decided by runoff elections on August 25.
Two of the more interesting races headed for a runoff in the Oklahoma City area are Sen. Stephanie Bice and businesswoman Terry Neese vying for the Republican nomination in Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District, as well as Norman police officer Tommie Johnson III challenging incumbent Oklahoma County Sheriff P.D. Taylor, also for the Republican nomination.
