February officially marks the beginning of American Heart Month, a federally designated month that aims to remind Americans to take care and focus on their hearts. In the United States and worldwide, heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death for both men and women.
The Oklahoma City-County Health Department aims to reduce this risk through its My Heart program. My Heart is designed for individuals between the ages of 20 and 60 who have, or think they have, at least one heart health risk factor.
