Amid all the uncertainty we’re facing, the Oklahoma legislature has provided some reassurance to businesses and healthcare providers. SB 1946 provides civil liability protection for businesses that are reopening, if they are acting in accordance with government guidance. Additionally, SB 1947 provides similar protection to those who manufacture, sell or donate personal protective equipment.
SB 300 provides immunity to a healthcare facility or provider from civil liability for any alleged loss or harm to a person with a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, unless the act of omission was the result of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
