The Association of Oklahoma General Contractors recently launched a campaign, Fast Money, to highlight how tax dollars allocated to repairing and maintaining Oklahoma’s roads and bridges are injected back into the economy.
On the first Monday of every month, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation awards contracts to companies to rebuild our state’s roads and bridges. Those companies immediately move money into the economy by hiring people, ordering materials, purchasing and repairing equipment. No other tax dollar enters Oklahoma’s economy as fast as the tax dollars allocated to repair, replace and maintain roads and bridges.
