NASA’s Expedition 60 crew to launch July 20

Expedition 60, NASA’s newest venture, began on June 24, 2019, with the undocking of Soyuz MS-11 from the International Space Station, ending Expedition 59.

The historic launch of Expedition 60 will take place July 20, sending three astronauts to the International Space Station on the Soyuz MS-13 spacecraft. Drew Morgan, Luca Parmitano and Alexander Skvortsov will join the crew still in orbit and begin work for the new expedition.

Plans for Expedition 60 include research focused on biology, earth science, physical sciences and technology. It will provide the foundation for continuing spaceflight beyond Earth, the moon and Mars.
