Facebook’s research and development group, NPE, launched BARS, which is its next experimental app that is very similar to TikTok and Reels. It is targeted to would-be rappers looking to create and share their own videos. In the app, users can choose from hundreds of professionally created beats, then write their own lyrics and record a video.
Reviews of the app show that people either love it or hate it. For anyone interested in the app, it does have a waitlist.
The real question is will it stay a rapper’s niche or will it turn into another TikTok or Reels?
