by The 100 Companies

Oklahoma is No. 4 in the country for reducing the number of homes and businesses with no access to high-speed internet service, according to the Federal Communications Commission.

Oklahoma Broadband Office Executive Director Mike Sanders said, “We remain dedicated to closing the digital divide in Oklahoma.”

More than 58,000 locations were served, and over 130 awarded projects are scheduled in 55 counties. In 2024, OBO’s investment in broadband infrastructure exceeded $600 million through ARPA State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund and the Capital Projects Fund grants, plus private matching funds.

Projects will be completed and operational by the end of 2026.
