Horses and Hounds Rescue Foundation

There’s a magical place tucked inside the CK Running Horses ranch where thoroughbred horses and dogs live while waiting for someone special to adopt them.

Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation takes thoroughbreds – those retired from racing or turned over from owners who could not provide proper care, tornado victims and abandoned horses. They let them rest before retraining them for a life away from a racetrack.

The hounds of all sizes and breeds are there for many of the same reasons, but include dogs that have been dumped in the county or taken in by request from local humane societies.
