Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation to support wildlife department

by
Richard T. Hatcher

The new Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation has officially launched, with the purpose of providing support for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and its activities in managing the state’s fish and wildlife resources.

This is the first charitable foundation solely dedicated to supporting the wildlife department, and creating the organization has long been a priority.

Because of its status as a tax-exempt, nonprofit charitable organization, the foundation will be able to give financial and material gifts to the department, helping it effectively address conservation needs.

Among the board’s first tasks will be raising funds to help launch the foundation.
