Holt overwhelmingly wins mayoral race

Who wins political races with nearly 80% of the vote? Mayor-elect David Holt. He proved that a candidate can unite people from across all political spectrums, demographics and all geographic regions for a common goal of moving a city forward.

When he takes office on April 10, Holt will be the city’s youngest mayor since 1923. A high school teen when the original MAPS project passed in order to keep young people here, Holt is a testament today to MAPS achieving its overarching purpose. In his remarks, he noted the campaign’s remarkable unity and concluded, “We’re not finished yet.”
