Instagram users can now watch or create videos with IGTV. Five years ago, the platform started to allow 60-second videos and recently expanded to give users and brands more freedom with their video marketing.
Not only is IGTV a stand-alone app, but it also can be accessed through the explore tab in the existing Instagram platform. Instagram creators are encouraging users to create their own IGTV channels – giving them the ability to push out hour-long video content.
Videos will be shown vertically, which is typical for smartphones and became even more popular with the efforts of Snapchat.
