Oklahoma Police Departments receive grants for K9 units

by The 100 Companies

AKC Reunite, the largest nonprofit pet microchip identification and recovery service provider in the nation, recently announced the donation of $526,500 to K-9 units throughout the country through its AKC Reunite Adopt a K-9 Cop matching grant program.

Six Oklahoma police departments received grants, including the Tulsa Police Department and the Roland Police Department.

These donations help police departments throughout the United States purchase K-9 police dogs. Many of the police dogs acquired are used as patrol dogs as well as detection dogs, helping to locate narcotics, explosives and evidence.
