Oklahoma No. 1 in aerospace education

Oklahoma secured the top spot in the country again when it comes to the number of schools set to teach the AOPA “You Can Fly” high school curriculum in the 2024-25 school year. Within the state, 116 schools will teach the program next year.

The recent 3rd Annual Oklahoma Aerospace Education Training Summit started with the “Planes on the Plains” banquet at Schwab Hall in Tulsa International Airport. The event featured networking, speeches and a keynote address from Todd Willinger, CEO of Redbird Simulations, whose tools are widely used in the curriculum.
