The U.S. Bureau of Labor reports Oklahoma ranks No. 9 in the U.S. for job creation, with Oklahoma City playing a significant role in achieving the ranking.
“They are leaving California. They are leaving New York. They are coming to places like Oklahoma, Texas and Florida,” said Steve Agee, dean emeritus of Oklahoma City University, according to KOCO news.
The low cost of living in Oklahoma, coupled with expanding job markets such as aerospace and healthcare, is attracting people from out of state. This influx is boosting the local economy and contributing to Oklahoma’s impressive job growth ranking.
