The nearly 100-degree temperatures didn’t evaporate impressive numbers for the 2022 Oklahoma State Fair. Nearly 900,000 passed through the gates.
State Fair officials told KFOR that nearly $104 million was spent in the Oklahoma City economy by attendees – 75 percent of whom were local and 25 percent of whom came from out of town.
The State Fair, which opened in 1907, is a nonprofit and supports ongoing educational, entertainment and economic development managed by the organization. Make plans now to visit the livestock, jump on rides and eat lots of sweets at the 2023 event, scheduled for Sept. 14-24, 2023.
