The Oklahoma Restaurant Association (ORA) created the Hospitality Employee Relief Program to support restaurant employees who were laid off due to COVID-19. Starting this program at the beginning of the outbreak, they have raised over $500,000 for the people affected by this.

This industry has been heavily hit by the pandemic where about one in every 10 employed Oklahomans are staffed by a restaurant. Thanks to generous donations made by donors, ORA has provided 635 grants to restaurant employees to help get them back on their feet.

The program will continue until restaurants are able to return to full capacity.
