Moments before the Oklahoma City Thunder were to tip off against the Utah Jazz, a team doctor rushed onto the floor. A minute later, the chilling announcement came through the Chesapeake Energy Arena PA system: The game was postponed. Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert had just tested positive for COVID-19.

Within hours, the NBA announced an indefinite suspension of the 2019-2020 season. And then the next day, the NCAA canceled all remaining winter and spring championships, including March Madness.

The suspensions and cancellations have either ended or brought to a halt the promising seasons of many Oklahoma sports teams.
