Fellow Oklahomans Toby Keith and Garth Brooks are being honored with the nation’s top arts awards. Toby Keith, of Moore, was recently presented the National Medal of Arts by President Trump, the highest honor given to artists by the U.S. government. He has dedicated his career to performing for American soldiers.
Garth Brooks, of Yukon, will receive the 2021 Kennedy Center Honors, which recognize an artist’s lifelong achievements and extraordinary talents. He energized Country Music with passion and an electrifying onstage presence.
