A decade of research and work has gone into the development and construction of the Choctaw Cultural Center, but the stories inside will span millennia when the center opens its doors on July 23 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Featuring permanent exhibitions, stickball fields, a living village and more, the center will be dedicated to preserving and perpetuating Choctaw culture and history. Activities will be geared towards both tribal members and visitors seeking to learn more about the Choctaw people, including interactive, immersive exhibitions and fun, engaging educational programs.
General admission for adults is $12, and discounted admission is available for others.
