CareSource recently made a $1 million investment towards affordable housing projects in Oklahoma. Due to a shortage of affordable and available rental homes in some rural areas, many low-income households are severely cost-burdened and spending more than half of their income on housing.
“Access to quality, affordable housing is connected to an individual’s overall health and well-being,” said Bill Baker, CareSource Oklahoma CEO and Market President. “Our goal with this investment is to help produce the best opportunities for Oklahomans needing affordable housing.”
CareSource made the investment through Midwest Housing Development Fund in an effort to assist housing insecure families.
