They’re the literal foundation of our state and, this past weekend, the Oklahoma Ready Mixed Concrete Association mixed it up with the Mixer Truck Road-E-O, where local mixer truck drivers competed for the Oklahoma State Championship.
Drivers from six concrete companies statewide competed through a series of obstacles, a written test and vehicle inspection. They were scored on precision and ability. Tim Durbin from Dolese’s Stillwater Plant earned first place and Gary Doolin from Dolese’s Guthrie Plant earned second.
Tim Durbin will represent Oklahoma at the national competition sponsored by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association this fall.
