Rose State College is using 3D printers to make face shields for AllianceHealth Midwest hospital. The college donated 200 3D-printed face shields to ensure health care workers have enough PPE amid COVID-19.
“We are proud to support our local hospital,” Rose State College President Dr. Jeanie Webb said. “As soon as we learned there was a need for face shields, we began printing.”
Rose State College STEM technicians followed CDC and National Institutes of Health guidelines on printing medical equipment for COVID-19. The face shields were printed as a collaboration between the Rose State College STEM Lab and MOOG Inc.
