There are very few people who have done as much for the community of Oklahoma City as Tom McDaniel. He navigated the murky waters to build consensus for MAPS3 projects as a volunteer, serving as chair of the MAPS3 Citizens Advisory Board and worked with hundreds of residents who contributed to the success of MAPS3 projects.
City Council unanimously voted to name the lake at Scissortail Park “Lake Tom McDaniel,” and Mayor David Holt read the proclamation to name the lake.
Thank you, Tom, for all you have done for Oklahoma City. Your accomplishments will be known by future generations!
