Oklahoma Sooner Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford and baseball Hall of Famer Johnny Bench will be at the First Americans Museum on Friday, April 28. They will be inducted into the American Indian Athletic Hall of Fame, which will soon relocate permanently to FAM.
Bradford is of Cherokee descent and grew up in Oklahoma City. He broke virtually every passing record in OU history before he became the NFL’s Rookie of the Year in 2010. Bench is Choctaw and he is widely considered the greatest catcher in Major League Baseball history.
