Schools are out, and families are looking for exciting activities to keep busy all summer long in Oklahoma. Here are three things you should do.
1. Dig for hourglass-shaped selenite crystals at the Great Salt Plains. It’s the only place in the world to find these unique crystals and is open for public digging April 1 to October 15.
2. Visit the Spiro Mounds, one of the nation’s most important prehistoric Native American archaeological sites.
3. Take a swim at the chilled Blue Hole Park near Salina. There is plenty of fun and wildlife surrounding the cold swimming hole.
