Tulsa’s People-Powered Transportation Project

by

For a week, the ambitious Tulsa’s Young Professionals Group (TYPROS) occupied the two outermost lanes of 11th street between Delaware and Peoria. TYPROS demonstrated a number of multimodal transportation options leading up to its 2016 concept, Street Cred: 66.

The annual Street Cred community redevelopment project began in 2011 to highlight areas of Tulsa with potential for development.

This year’s Street Cred project showcased new transit options for the city, which included temporary simulations of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line and bike lanes to connect Tulsa like never before. The project attracted thousands to midtown Tulsa on April 30.
